Wow, after reading just some of the stories about Ms. Brick and what she in fact said about herself leaves a huge disconnect somewhere!
Here’s the thing. We should all love ourselves for who we are and for the gifts that have been given to us and what I’ve learned, well reinforced over the past number of years is that beauty comes from within and it is a package deal. Yes I believe that people strive to exploit their strengths whether they are physical, mental or spiritual and hopefully they leave it up to the people around them to see those strengths. Yes it is clear that some people are given gifts of natural beauty and intelligence and may have everything going for them. But, even then, there can be breakdown if our other traits are not worked and improved upon. The recent death of Whitney Houston is pure proof of this.

Perhaps Ms. Brick feels that she is an attractive woman and there is nothing wrong with this and it is a good thing. But, to write such an article about one’s self and beat her personal drum so loudly is where the real problem surfaced. Just maybe it is Ms. Brick’s writing, but that is even doubtful, as writing should come from the soul to convey that sense of importance to the words we are crafting, and maybe Ms. Brick did write from the soul and her self image of herself and what she believes is consistent with the article she wrote.
Now, unfortunately for her, I have been in a position the last number of years to be involved with foreign women, and from where I’m sitting based on the photos and videos that I’ve seen of Ms. Brick, I don’t find her attractive at all. But, again, that is my personal opinion and to be fair here I do have a bias towards dark hair women. The funny thing, she stated that it was only when she dyed here hair blonde that it was her perception that people told here that she was “beautiful…” Like it or not, most blondes today are not natural blondes as a “true” blonde haired person is very rare in today’s world, given the the influence of Latin, Asian, & Middle Eastern people.
The Real Beauty
As I stated, due to my involvement with European and Latin women, I do believe I have a good sense of what REAL Beautiful women look like. I believe the photos of the women below show this. Yes some are younger and some are Ms. Brick’s age. But the real goal here is to show TRUE Beauty that is not defined by these women, but rather by outsiders.
In the movie “Next” with Nicholas Cage, there was a part in the movie where he recited a quotation about beauty and it goes something like this…
There is an Italian Painter named Carlotti and he defined beauty in this way… “Beauty is the summation of the parts working together in such a way that nothing needed to be added, taken away or altered…”
It would be my belief that the women below in these photos fit Carlotti’s definition of beauty.
And just to be fairer in comparison, the two photos below are from a lady I know, and she is even better than her photos in real life. Additionally, she has 12 years on Ms. Brick. She is 53 years old. Oh and one should note that the blonde haired woman in the photo above is the same age as Ms. Brick.
Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder…
There is clearly nothing wrong with wanting a high self-esteem of one’s self nor being beautiful in the eyes of the ones who love us; but, to write an article bragging about your “Beauty” when your judgment of that view is biased and not subjective, is quite another matter.
If anything, I believe that Ms. Brick has learned some valuable lessons from this adventure. Hopefully, one of them is to get an outsider to review her written work prior to publishing.
It is truly hard to believe the century we are currently living in is at the level of the pure undeniable racism that it is! These disgusting radical right wing tea baggers Do NOT represent what this country was founded on and if the founding fathers were alive today they would be repulsed by what we are witnessing.
The absolute irony to all of this is these so called “Patriots” who wrap themselves in the Constitution and the principals to which this country was founded on are the most profound violators of the founding principles of this country.

State Birther Bills
Dear “Birther” Legislators in the 11 or so states and all the rest of you Birthers. Please take your long from Birth Certificate to your local Post Office and try and get a US Passport with it. A Long form Birth Certificate is issued by a Hospital which is not a legal extension of ANY City, County, or State governmental entity. A US Birth is NOT recognized in this country UNTIL the City/County/State Notarized Birth Certificate has been filed with one of these entities. Since President Obama currently holds a US Passport he met the guidelines of being a US Citizen by submitting his notarized government birth certificate to the Federal Government which was before he ran for President.
To All the States in the Country who are planning to require the “Long Form” to validate US Citizenship had better wake up as the Long Form Birth Certificate is NOT Legally Recognized by ANY Government Agency. In addition prior to ANY State trying to “Amend” Federal Voting Laws, those changes have to be submitted to the US Department of Justice for approval. Since the Long Form Birth Certificate is NOT Legally recognized by the Government the Department of Justice WILL Reject any ploy by any State to Amend Federal Voting Laws. Case Closed!

When pressed by the Interviewer for the specific answer Mr. Upton does finally concede to answer… He believes in Global Warming, but does not believe Global Warming is man made. So What other Positions has Mr. Upton taken?
EPA’s plan to regulate carbon emissions was “an unconstitutional power grab…”
“The best solution is for Congress to overturn the EPA’s proposed greenhouse gas regulations outright”
If his attack on the EPA does not work Upton appears prepared to halt the EPA’s regulatory process with a deluge of legal challenges.
“This presumes that carbon is a problem in need of regulation. We are not convinced….”
As reported by Reuters, “Upton has called for opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas drilling, scaling back government aid for renewable energy and voiced opposition to requiring electric utilities to use alternative energy for some of their power generation.”
So Mr. Upton wants to destroy the EPA, Wants to scale back Renewable Energy, opposes Alternative Energy, Oh and Drill Baby Drill!

Simply ask yourself, Who’s Agenda is Served by Politicians Killing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Promoting Oil & Gas Production in ANWR Alaska, Stopping the Research and Promotion of Alternative and Renewable Energy? Yes the answer is very obvious… Big Oil & Energy! Big DIRTY Oil wants EPA regulations removed as well as requirements to pursue alternative and renewable energy so that they can be free to not only pollute the Earth by oil production as well as increased allowable green house gasses.
Who has contributed to Mr. Upton’s political aspirations and filled his pockets to take these positions… The Very Same Answer… Big Oil & Energy! It should be no surprise that Fred Upton is assaulting the EPA so that the deregulation of the energy industry can commence. Well color me surprised! His top donor is “nuclear waste giant Energy Solutions,” just one of the energy conglomerates that have fueled his campaigns.

So Fred Upton and the GOP/Tea Party want everyone to believe that Man Made Global Warming is nothing but a hoax. Why? Human activities have led to large increases in heat-trapping gases over the past century.
The Earth’s climate depends on the functioning of a natural “greenhouse effect.” This effect is the result of heat-trapping gases (also known as greenhouse gases) like water vapor, carbon dioxide, ozone, methane, and nitrous oxide, which absorb heat radiated from the Earth’s surface and lower atmosphere and then radiate much of the energy back toward the surface. Without this natural greenhouse effect, the average surface temperature of the Earth would be about 60°F colder. However, human activities have been releasing additional heat-trapping gases, intensifying the natural greenhouse effect, thereby changing the Earth’s climate.
Climate is influenced by a variety of factors, both human-induced and natural. The increase in the carbon dioxide concentration has been the principal factor causing warming over the past 50 years. Its concentration has been building up in the Earth’s atmosphere since the beginning of the industrial era in the mid-1700s, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) and the clearing of forests. Human activities have also increased the emissions of other greenhouse gases, such as methane, nitrous oxide, and halocarbons. These emissions are thickening the blanket of heat-trapping gases in Earth’s atmosphere, causing surface temperatures to rise.
